We rented a pontoon there yesterday to go crabbing. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They even had carts to help us bring supplies to the dock. Had a great day crabbing and the restroom was very clean, which is something I never found at any other places that we used previously rented boats.
Yesterday, I spent two hours out on a kayak (in February). It was a glorious experience. I wasn't sure if Red Bank Marina would have kayaks out since it's February, but I wanted to take advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures. I called ahead, and they were gracious enough to get a kayak out for me. From start to finish, the service was great. I was given unsolicited but completely welcomed advice on where to take the kayak based on the weather, which helped me enjoy my time. They helped me in and out of the kayak with ease. All around, it made my day.
Cash only? Weird I didn't go out and drove an hour to get there. A little small place. Nice people.
I am so sad to see this, I have been going to this little spot for years and never seen so many fish dying here. I went to sit down for a little bit and I wondered what was this horrible smell. When I got to the fence area i saw so many fish dead, too many to count. A security guard said this has been happening for a while. He thinks it from the boats parking their and the water clubs. Possibly the oil and other chemicals leaking into the water. This should not be happening, something needs to be done. 😪 These photos are from two different spots there and I just had to leave because the smell is so bad. Concerned about the environment of our waters.
Great marina with a great group of staff. I walk my dog by then everyday and there was a glass bottle broken on the side walk where I walk my dog and I asked them to borrow their broom and they did it for me!! So so nice. Highly recommend
Was recommended to Steve at Red Bank Marina by our slip dock Master. . We are new boat owners. I can not recommend him more. He knows boats. Took us by the hand, fitted us out. Fixed issues. Could not be happier. Highly recommend.
So it was my very first time here and I went because someone told me about it. We are very big on crabbing and being able to rent a boat is absolutely amazing because we cantpurchase or store one just yet. The price for all day is amazing, it is first come first serve which is pretty cool. I wish the parking lot was a bit bigger but there is outside street parking so it isnt really bad. This place sells bait which is critical for crabbing. Overall this place is amazing, the people are awesome and very kind. Everyone was friendly and everyone wore masks. They made sure everyone was social distancing by allowing only 1 person in the office at a time and had to wear a mask. My kids loved it they had a life vest on which was provided and we were able to fit 5 people on a boat that didnt require a boat license. We were able to catch a bucket full of crab and spent a little less then half the day there. I will definitely be going back and doing this over. It was an amazing experience.
We didn’t have much luck with crabbing on Saturday. 5 of us got 3 crabs, let another 3 off the rob. But fed a lot of birds, lol.
The shop now opens at 8 for the fall time. We called the shop a while ago back in summer, they said they open 7-4 7days of the week. But suggested we coming early as we can otherwise it will be no boat left. Also, the owner almost replies to every map review under his business, so we thought everything is up to date here. For all these reasons, even it’s already October and it’s chilly out there, we arrived at 7am for the high tide at 7:44… on us then.
Motor boat needs license, be prepared. Otherwise you row your boat against strong wind in fall weather, like us.
Dock young guys are very nice, have to say sorry here, we forgot to leave tips… The man at cashier didn’t want to talk with us.. too early in the morning? Bad days for business? Or we too naive too unprepared?
